The Role
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database including Failover Cluster, Always ON Setup and new server provisioning, Transaction replication, Link Servers, Hardening, patching in day-to-day operations. Experience on team management

Responsibilities:
Database Monitoring & Operations·       Monitor generated log and event files to identify errors that may result in incidents.
·       Perform DR database availability monitoring to ensure business continuity.
·       Monitor database log replication and report status as per agreed schedules.
·       Conduct session, query, log, and latch monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
·       Monitor databases for failures and system events indicating imminent issues.
·       Purge database logs and trace files as part of routine maintenance.
High Availability & Replication·       Manage and support Failover Clustering environments.
·       Configure and manage Always On Availability Groups.
·       Reconfigure and manage Log Shipping.
·       Configure and support Transaction Replication.
·       Configure and maintain Linked Servers.
Configuration & Maintenance·       Perform periodic configuration reviews to maintain consistent database setups.
·       Review environments and provide recommendations to maintain high availability.
·       Execute database hardening and patching activities.
·       Support new server provisioning and database setup.
Reporting & Governance·       Prepare and submit monthly database availability reports.
·       Ensure adherence to operational standards and best practices.
Team Management·       Provide technical leadership and support to database team members.
·       Assist in task allocation, mentoring, and day-to-day team coordination.

Must - Have Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, or a related discipline
· Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Database Administration in enterprise environments.
· Strong exposure to database troubleshooting, Failover Cluster management, and Always On Availability Groups
· Hands-on experience with transaction replication, log shipping, and Linked Server configuration.
· Strong exposure to Database Migration.
· Proven expertise in DR database monitoring, high availability, and business continuity support.
· Experience in database hardening, patching, and periodic configuration reviews.
· Strong knowledge of session, query, log, and latch monitoring for performance and stability.
· Ability to monitor, analyze, and resolve database failures and system events proactively.
· Experience with new SQL server provisioning, configuration, and environment setup.
· Exposure to preparing monthly availability reports and operational status dashboards.
· Team management experience with the ability to guide and support L1/L2 DBAs
